About

Rainy Days was founded by the Martinsen-Stormyr family in 1980.

Grandpa John kept complaining about the weather while visiting Bergen in Norway, but one day we came up with an idea of creating water-resistant jackets to keep him dry. Who knew this would change our lives that much?

We started up with 15 people living together under the same roof on a small farm, and only 2 of us was involved making the first jacket to grandpa. He then used it in all kinds of weather and our neighbours wanted jackets too, so we made more, and this was only the start. The rumours about our jacket spread and this is how we started the Company. As the business growed more of the family got involved in the company.

When Grandpa John died, his last wish was to be buried with hit favorite jacket on.

Today the Martinsen-Stormyr family still own both the farm and the company, but the company growed out of the farm and had to move, so we built our own fascilities within walking distance from the farm.
